Gai Bol Luom
Gai is a visionary evangelist who loves preaching the Gospel and helping his people. He joined Bible teaching in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya in 1993; was licensed as an evangelist by the Diocese of Bor of the Episcopal Church of Sudan in 2005, and he led the Sudanese Church at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Nashville Tennessee as the lay pastor for 15 years.
Moreover, he participated in short-term mission teams and fundraisers to support his communities in his homeland of South Sudan. He also took missions trips to South Sudan, particularly Boma and Bor, and helped raise funds for Aid Sudan and Evangelical Alliance Partners Organization. His interests are (i) spiritual development through biblical teachings and (ii) community development through local projects as the Head of our Family First program, Gai asserts that JIT programs are essential for our diaspora communities’ growth, development, and prosperity and our communities back home in South Sudan. And as such, JITeam must work diligently to exceed our learners’ expectations and our communities alike. As an epitome of Excellence, JIT must deliver and deliver big! And this means that our work must be guided by biblical teachings, ethics, and absolute transparency.
